random character colors

Wanted to learn more about colors, Photoshop and shapes, so played around a bit for fun with some doodles from my sketchbook. I have no idea if these two resembles some other designs or have anything else wrong with them (apart from being very random and weird).

Texturing and matte painting reel from "The Wanderer"

A video with mostly texturing and matte painting work, done on our bachelor film "the Wanderer". We primarily used Mari as texturing tool, with some additional work in photoshop. Update: The quality is unfortunately very bad on this video. I'm working on getting it better :)

Watercolor experimentations and WIP

I've been having a lot of fun with painting again after being inspired by a good friend to play around. Unfortunately I have problems scanning my stuff, it seems to be constantly overexposed.

Old sketch from 2002

Found this little guy again. It is a very young scandinavian folklore-style troll.

Sketchbook winter '14-'15

A selection of my sketches from this winter. I have problems with the color and exposure (and scanning).

I'm currently working on a bust, trying to reconstruct what Emily Brontë might have looked like when she was in her late twenties. The plan is to take this all the way, including realistic texturing, shading and comp, something I've never had the time or skill to do before, but would really like to try. The "pre-production" is interesting too, since it involves studying and assessing surviving descriptions, photos and portraits of the Brontë-family. (And yes, the ridge on side of the eyebrows is too pronounced ;) )
